Hello NZIA members, we are off to a flying start this month !! We have already had our March monthly members meeting which was an evening of angklung music where we combined with other Indonesian organisations and the local angklung group for a wee practice ! In the photo on our Face Book page I can count 43 who participated in the evening. That’s got to be the biggest angklung group in NZ. On 7 December about 50 people attended a meeting organised by the NZIA at the Indonesian Embassy. Special guest Wellington Mayor Justin Lester spoke about the city’s progress, particularly in improving the environment. He also commented on the contribution of overseas cultures to the growth of Wellington; he included Indonesia - a country he has yet to visit but hopes to do so soon.

After a blind tasting session of 5 coffees which members had no idea of the origin of'; an Indonesia coffee was chosen as the supreme winner.
