POV: Whose Scene is It?
In the past, the story's POV or point of view would be the person who is telling the story. As the story progresses, the reader sees and hears what the character sees and hears. In first-person tales, the reader is privy to the story teller's mental states and actions directly. Recent novels have taken advantage of changing point of view quite a bit. In general, one should keep the same point of view in each scene. However, between scenes and chapters, the POV can change. I
