Dust in the Shop

Brain Burps and Balderdash from the Bench

After a brief hiatus due to the temperatures and a mid-winter visit to warmer climes, I am back in the shop! I have a number of standard, branch and custom flutes in varying stages of completion. In part I am prepping for our local spring studio tour May 5th-6th, 2018. For those in the GTA this is a great opportunity to spend a day or perhaps even a weekend touring a number of artist studios in the Port Perry area as well as meet a number of amazing local artists working in a wide variety of media. For more on the tour, sites maps etc., visit www.scugogstudiotour.ca. I will be hosted by my good friend and lavender farmer and artisan, Mila Haynos-Owen, www.lavender-blu.com, at her farm/studio just north of Port Perry. Looking forward to seeing you there.

After several "false" starts I am finally poised for the launch of my new website. Under the guidance and assistance of my son-in-law (a brilliant design guy), I think we finally have something that is truly representative of what Makwa Flutes represents. A quick shout out to all who have offered encouragement and mentorship over the years...you know who you are and I will forever be in your debt! And now...here we go!
