DARKSIDE AT THE NATIONAL SPACE CENTRE PHOTO @BYBRETT OK pop-pickers, time for a quick update from Darkside H.Q. We are currently on our summer break but rehearsing continues. I always look forward to this time of year as we get time to work on new stuff. This summer’s project is a version of Pigs on the Wing that will include a full band section in the middle. Some people are of the opinion that you should do faithful copies of the original and while we understand this, we we

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any better, you then perform The Dark Side of the Moon at the National Space Centre, Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium to four sell-out audiences. We have worked closely with the NSC to produce this outstanding show, integrating the live performance with narrations and superb 360º visuals to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the lunar landings. What a cracking weekend. Two shows at the fabulous Galeri in Caernarfon meant we could play an even greater range of all things Floyd. Set lists of what you may have missed are lower down the page. As one audience member commented “Thank you for entertaining us in Caernarfon, I was impressed – proper musicians”. As we were set up from Friday’s gig, we took advantage of the opportunity to run through the Apollo 11 Story ready for Thursday and Friday’s shows at the National Spa

Hi all, it’s blog time again. As promised, this week will focus on our powerhouse drummer, Steve Graystone but first some comments about the next couple of weeks. We are really pleased to be back for two nights at the fabulous Galeri Theatre in Caernarfon at the beginning of July. These two-night shows are a real treat for us as we can play a much bigger range of the back-catalogue, which is always fun. This is quickly followed by two nights performing in the Sir Patrick Mo

After another great weekend at the Albany Theatre in Coventry, it is time to record the narration for the forthcoming 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing. We are working with the National Space Centre again with this celebration where we will perform The Dark Side of The Moon live in the Sir Patrick Moore planetarium plus other incidental improvisations. You really don’t want to miss this one and it is a real honour to be selected to do this (we were in competitio

Welcome to the second Darkside blog from Andy Baker, lead guitarist, vocalist and artistic director of Darkside, The Pink Floyd Show. After last month’s show in Aberystwyth we are really looking forward to a return to the fabulous Albany Theatre in Coventry. We always play a different set when we return to a theatre as it keeps things fresh for both us and the audience. Rehearsals have been a real joy and we have included what is one of our absolute favourites, Echoes. Ticket

Welcome to the first Darkside blog from Andy Baker, lead guitarist, vocalist and artistic director of Darkside, the Pink Floyd Show. After months of planning we finally got to do our show at Aberystwyth Arts Centre with the fabulous Durga McBroom. What a show, though I can’t help thinking it would have been even better with an extra day of rehearsing with Durga and would have required less Imodium! We were given the privilege of Durga performing the lead vocal roles in What D
