This weekend an army of volunteers descended on Moira Canal Festival to help marshal the car parks in support of our fundraising efforts. The weekend went amazingly well with the weather remaining fine throughout. Thanks to the generosity of the visitors the group managed to raise the grand total of £759! which shattered all previous years records. This years AGM saw our 25 of our young people awarded Bronze, Silver and Gold Chief Scout Awards by our District Commissioner, Kiron Griffin. We also awarded 5 inspirational young people with the GSL Commendation Award. The GSL Commendation Award is for those who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the Scout Law and or Promise. At today's St Georges Day parade and celebrations 1st Woodville (St. Stephens) Scout Group took home the trophy and title of South Derbyshire District Group of the Year for 2019.
