Songbird

It is Winter in Albuquerque. I am surrounded by snow-capped Mountains on all sides - to the East, West, North and South. It is 60 degrees out. The air is brisk, but the sun is bright and warm. Winter Soltice

Even though I live in a moderate climate, I still feel the Winter. It is snowing in parts of New Mexico, in the mountains. The mornings and evenings are a bit chillier. Artist in Albuquerque

A few days before my partner and I left for Albuquerque, New Mexico, I got "cold feet." I emailed my brother prior to take-off to express my doubts and he assured me that I could always move back, but he had a hunch I would want to stay. He was right.
