For the past 5 weeks I have trained with ABRSM on their new course 'Becoming a Better Music Teacher'. This course involved an assessment and evaluation of my current teaching as well as discussing learning principles, instrumental technique, increasing awareness of professional practice, health & safety and much more. In October 2018 I enrolled on a Customer Service course to boost my skills and understanding of customer care. I obtained a Level 2 qualification from City & Guilds. The training course was very interactive and focused on communication, customer care and how to keep customers coming back. Whilst I am known for my personal interpretation of covers, I have written songs of my own. After a long break I started writing again early this year and developed two new songs, which I am showcasing at my Fox gig on 27th November. This is a special showcase, as not only will the songs be performed first time in public, but I am also joined by Joe Drury, accompanying my songs on guitar and harmonies. Ruth's EP recorded live in Autumn 2017 can now be purchased online for only £5. The CD which features four very different songs all carry Ruth's personal stamp. CDs are also available to purchase at all her gigs.

Ruth first joined Bradford LGBT in February 2018 and worked with Equity Partnership to set up a new singing group. She held a singing workshop in May at the IDAHOBIT Alliance & Solidarity event and interest grew from there. The singing sessions Ruth provide gives everyone a good introduction to healthy singing practice and all singers are encouraged to suggest songs for the group.
