Success for 'Sting Like a Bee' Leaders

A unique initiative which uses boxing gyms to provide opportunities for young people, is celebrating its first group of successful new ‘Leaders’. Girls In Gloves

A groundbreaking project, supported by Maverick Stars, is going down a storm at Wimborne Amateur Boxing Club. Jamie's Dream Edges Closer

Fishersgate's Reeling Them In

A fantastic new initiative at Fishersgate Amateur Boxing Club is proving a big hit with people living with Parkinson's disease. Research has shown that boxing can improve symptoms of Parkinson's, helping those diagnosed with the disease to maintain higher levels of function and quality of life. Summer Camp Closes

For the last six weeks summer camps up and down the country have been in operation - thanks to Maverick Stars funding. One of the hugely successful camps took place at South Wye Police Boxing Academy. A team of dedicated staff led the way, delivering a fantastic programme for young people. More than 840 healthy meals were provided during the period and final day attendees received goody bags and certificates.

FLAGS Out for New Coaches

The 'Fight Like a Girl' programme - funded by Maverick Stars - has resulted in ten new female boxing coaches in the midlands. 'FLAG' was set up to provide women with opportunities.
