Texas tort reform legislation has seriously limited, but not eliminated, medical malpractice lawsuits. The Bay Area of the Houston/Galveston area is filled with well respected hospitals. To get an idea of medical malpractice trends, I went back and compared medical malpractice filings against several area hospitals in 2016 and 2017. The area’s oldest hospital is Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, where all three of my sons were born. In 2016 the hospital was sued seven times
