Monroe Township, NJ- Regardless of age, we all face our own challenges and obstacles in life. As a youth, we might have difficulty focusing or behaving appropriately in school. As a teen, we are typically dealing with a variety of pressures including school, friends, parents, activities and more. The teens are a difficult time for most of us. As an adult, you face different pressures- from financial to work, family, health and so much more!

The key to success, says RIZE Martial Arts' Founder, Maria Ragosa, is how you react to these challenges.

"About 8 years ago, I was going through a variety of personal health issues and the battle was taking a real toll on me. I was dealing with physical issues, mental issues, personal issues and I was struggling," said Ragosa. "At the time, each of my kids were active in Martial Arts and I was seeing the benefits firsthand."

So, after trying a lot of other solutions that didn't work, she decided to take a Martial Arts class and it had an immediate impact.

"I could talk all day about the many benefits I received, but for me, having a sense of calm, mental clarity for the first time in many years was very significant," she said.

After only a few weeks of taking Martial Arts, she described the feeling as though a heavy cloud was being lifted which allowed her to think clearly-- positively.

"Martial Arts gave me the added strength and self confidence that I needed to win my personal health battle that was having a very negative impact on my life, " said Ragosa. "At RIZE, we provide programs for youths, teens, and adults that show them how to apply martial arts disciplines to work through any challenge and overall, to perform any task at a much higher level."

"Martial Arts has been my prescription for overcoming A.D.H.D. and has fueled my success throughout school as well!"
