On a busy Wednesday afternoon, SNIP Alliance board member, Lisa McCormick received an emergency call from Centralia, Illinois stating that the mother of eight 10-day-old puppies had disappeared and it was feared that she had died. My name is Amy Miller and I've just recently been brought on board as SNIP's executive director. My background is eclectic so my perspective is a little different than those who have years of experience in animal welfare. For the past 26 years I have been an interpreter for the Deaf and I have a master's degree i
