Final Iftar for 2019 Ramadhan

Today we completed the final open iftar dinner for Ramadan in 2019 at the Australia Light Foundation. May Allah reward all those who contributed, attended and supported our Iftar Dinners. Iftar Dinner in Khartoum, Sudan

The Australia Light Foundation in partnership with the Yeni Asya Foundation organised for an Iftar Dinner in Khartoum, Sudan. The Iftar was attended by over 1000 people. 2019 Ramadan Iftar Dinners

This is a snapshot from the first of Australia Light Foundation’s Community Iftar Dinners this Ramadan. This week we had 450 people from our community in attendance. The Iftar dinners provide a great opportunity for people from various ethnic communities to come together to break their fast and socialise. ALF's Water Filtration Live Demonstration

Australia Light Foundation organised an open house live demonstration event of SkyJuice's SkyHydrant ultra-filtration water system. It was an event aimed to endorse a life-changing system that can help bring a sustainable, humanitarian aid to people who lack the availability of clean water. Aid from Australia Light Foundation to Pakistan

Australia Light Foundation collaborated with Australian Peace Organisation to start a humanitarian relief campaign for Pakistan. They organized a 40 foot container to be sent with provisions, clothing and supplies to the orphanages and poor families of Pakistan. Primary Kids Movie Night

Australia Light Foundation hosted a movie night on Saturday 13th of October for the Thursday Primary School kids class. The kids voted to watch the movie: Mr Bean: The Holiday. There was an array of assorted snacks and beverages provided for the kids including; assorted potato chips, popcorn, lamington, donuts, cupcakes, soft candies, water, Lipton ice tea and orange juice. Story of Muhammed from Pakistan

Muhammed is a young boy from Pakistan who was diagnosed with Lymphangioma of the tongue. Lymphangiomas are a type of malformation of the lymphatic system. It causes great discomfort the the victim where they are unable to close their mouth and utilize their mouth and tongue functions normally. This makes necessary tasks such as eating, drinking and talking immensely challenging and painful. It is a rare condition that requires a difficult operation. Australia Light Foundation

Islamic New Year - 1440/2018

Today at Australia Light Foundation, we celebrated the Islamic New Year. After Jumuah we made Ashure and distributed it to the community. It was a good day to come together as a community to strengthen bonds and think about the new Islamic year ahead of us. Primary Kids Saturday Breakfast

The Thursday Kids Dershane group had a Saturday breakfast session on the school holidays followed by another Saturday ders group the following Saturday. They started the day with a hearty breakfast followed by a sohbet by Sister Seyma. We prayed the Dhuhr prayer together and then headed off to the park at the back of ALF's Community Centre to play and have snacks. It was a fulfilling day.

Story of Abdiaziz from Somaliland

Abdiaziz is a seven year old young boy who lives in Somaliland in Africa. He has been suffering from a bilateral cleft lip/palate. A cleft lip occurs when there is an opening in the persins upperlip. At my last visit to Hargesa, Sheikh Mahmoud had mentioned Abdiaziz's condition to me. Abdiaziz's condition was so bad that his siblings were unable to sit with him to have their food together.
