When I first sat down with Erik and Katrina at Kolkin Coffee (the best place to sit, talk and drink some delicious earl grey tea), I was struck by how thoughtful they were - they came with dreams and ideas about how to make their wedding day intentional and special for their guests, not just themselves. They put a tremendous amount of thought into their ceremony and talked about details of how to honor their families and celebrate their new marriage.

Marriage means something to Katrina and Erik and watching them interact, it is clear how thankful they are for one another and the God who brought them together. We loved celebrating with them and are excited for many future years of their marriage!

It's crazy to think how quickly time passes - I remember meeting Domineque in college and immediately (literally, that night) spending hours talking with her. Jeremy knew Tyler then he was a middle school student in student ministry. And now they've been married for 5 years and have two sweet boys. We are thankful for these friends and how the Lord teaches us, challenges us and encourages us through them.

"The best laid plans..."

When our plans to shoot at a local distillery fell apart, and Matt said something about his parents' farm as a location, I got excited immediately. Then he mentioned "bonfire" and I knew this was going to be the best possible scenario and an incredible session. And it did not disappoint!

Matt and Kelsey are so much fun to be around - you can tell that they work so well together, whether it's discussing their careers, their wedding planning, even the outfits they chose for our session. They had great attitudes braving some chilly wind (that's Louisville in November for you - could be 80 degrees, could be 32!), so it was nice to warm up with a cozy fire at the end of the session. And check out Kelsey's ring - AMAZINGLY beautiful. Jeremy and I are so excited to shoot their May 2020 wedding!
