And just like that, the little girl who dreamed of going to fashion shows was blessed with the opportunity to go to New York Fashion Week. I'm talking dreamed as in fashion was such a huge part of who she was, she had a notebook full of sketches, stayed on fashion sites for hours, took fashion classes in high school, and started a blog.

Did she ask for such an opportunity? No. Did she pray for it specifically? Not really. But does she know a God who gives our heart's desires and knows how to unexpectedly provide? Indeed she does. And that's how fashion week became her reality.

I'm sure you've realized by now (haha), but that little girl is me, and I'm so thankful that I had one of the best experiences of my life last week. I give God all the glory! Shoutout to my two friends Yasmeen and Anita who joined in on all the fun and memories and to the person who blessed us with the tickets (ya know who you are)! That trip will be one I never forget!

I write this post to say anything is possible. Your reality in a few weeks, months, or even years may seem out of reach, but it's totally not. Nothing is out of reach for God...never, ever, ever (Philippians 4:13). It may seem silly to talk about a fashion show in such a way; however, we've got to make even the "trivial" things in life big deals (I say trivial because attending a fashion show is definitely a want and not a need). Live every moment to the fullest and celebrate every blessing. We are the children of a Heavenly Father who gives us our hearts desires and wants us to enjoy life (Psalms 37:4-6). So expect greatness, and enjoy it all!

As far as my outfit goes, I had to make sure the slay was on for the big day. My friends and I were stressing and scrambling to get our looks right! But before we left, we realized that having fun was more important than our outfits. Our mindsets changed, but the slay was still on. This could've solely been a fashion post with all the outfit deets, but I hope the focus on faith and joy is more inspiring.
