Iberostar Suites Rose Hall, Jamaica: Memories That Will Last A Lifetime

Iberostar is a 5 star luxury hotel located in Rose Hall, Jamaica. It is resides on an isolated property separated by the Grand, Suites, and Beach hotel. The Grand is the most expensive resort on the property. Their guests have butlers, the finest experience that Iberostar has to offer, and access to the other two resorts. The Iberostar Suites is moderately priced. The Iberostar Suites allow children and their guests only have access to the lower tier hotel, Iberostar Beach resort. The Iberostar Beach is the least expensive property on the premises. The guest here are not permitted to go to the other two resorts. However, this resort is known for its lively night entertainment, kids events, and lots of fun.

I stayed at the Iberostar Suites with my husband, parents, and two nieces. This resort has an authentic Iberostar look of old world European glamour. They have a spiraled staircase in the lobby, beautiful open premise by the beach, a lazy river, and a friendly staff member around every corner.

We had two rooms. My husband and I enjoyed an ocean view room. We were facing the middle of the pool, but if you looked to the left you could see the beach. My parents and nieces shared the other room. My mother and nieces had a room with two beds and my dad slept on the pull-out couch.

For breakfast, we ate at the buffet - please click on this link to see our experience (http://www.thefloridapalate.com/single-post/570bc1b90cf21d117956ee8a). For lunch, we also ate at the buffet or sometimes they would have a yummy barbecue or grilled food by the beach. My parents are Jamaican, my nieces are American, and my husband and I are the biggest food critics ever. However, I can definitely say that this resort has the best food ever!! Their Jamaican food is authentic enough to impress my parents and they still had enough American options to please my nieces. I think we all went back for seconds and thirds. For dinner, there are six different restaurants with different cuisines to choose from.

The entertainment is really good! In the day, there is a lot of crowd engagement by the pool, beach volleyball, tennis, non-motorized water sports, and other games. At night, Iberostar Suites doesn't have that much going on. There is a kid entertainment room and music shows for the adults. However, next door Iberostar Beach always has live entertainment for adults and kids. Their entertainment staff is incredible and they even host an outdoor event with centers for the adults and kids to have a great time.

The beach is beautiful from afar but when you get in, it is not as nice as the beaches in other areas in Jamaica. My husband actually called the beach water "lake water." It's swimmable, but it's not the experience that you would expect at a Caribbean destination.

The resort is very clean indoor and outdoors. Housekeeping is prompt and very meticulous.

The price is comparable to most resorts in Jamaica. However, the experience that you will receive at this resort is top notch and worth every penny.

Jamaicans can often get a bad reputation for not having the best customer service. However, this resort provided excellent customer service throughout our entire trip.

Extra information: I celebrated my birthday here and it was very special. The staff members surprised me with this birthday treat and sang happy birthday to me.

The gym is small and unimpressive, but it has the essentials that you would need to get a basic workout. The spa has hydrotherapy, pilates, and a yoga studio.

Also, the restaurant food and drink quality is much higher at Iberostar Suites than Iberostar Beach resort. Trust me, have all of your meals at the Suites resort if you are staying there.

There is 24 hours room service. They are very patient, timely, and courteous at all times. My niece made a tradition out of calling for fruit and whipped cream each night.

You can also visit the famous Dunn's River Falls while you're at this resort. It's a little trek of a drive, but you can see some great Jamaican scenery. We paid for a personal driver and made a day out of the adventure.

Would I recommend it: Absolutely! We're thinking about doing a family reunion at this resort next year! My family (picture above) can't stop talking about it!
