Baked Feta with Hot-Honey and Herbs
Name something more crowd pleasing than hot cheese. Yep. That's what I thought. I like to top mine with hot honey but if you are spice adverse, plain honey will do just fine!
1 8-ounce block firm feta cheese
1 tablespoons olive oil
A few sprigs thyme
A few sprigs rosemary
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes or pink peppercorns
Crackers, for serving
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Place the feta on a small baking sheet or in a small casserole dish. Pour the olive oil over the top and coat. Place the whole herbs on top of the feta. Roast in the oven for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix together honey and crushed red pepper flakes.
Remove the feta from the oven and set the oven to broil. Remove the herbs and reserve to garnish. Drizzle the honey all over the feta.
Place under the broiler and broil until top is a little brown, about a minute.
Remove from oven, top with crispy herbs and serve warm with crackers.
