White as Ice
As of today, there's less than a week to go till the book launch gatherings for White as Ice. I've seldom been so excited about a book launch. Maybe it's because this will be my last mystery.
More likely, though, it's because this WHITE AS ICE Quadrilogy is the best book I've ever written. White is simply the culmination of the Red-Black-Pink buildup. If you've read those books (or even just the first of them), you'll know that the questions pile up almost as fast as the answers to other questions.
I had one person ask me why I had skipped around between time periods so much.
The women sheltering from the storm in Biscuit and Bob's house are exploring an old, old attic. When was the last time you saw an attic arranged in chronological order?
The 250-year-old diaries, though, ARE in chronological order, and they tell not only the mysterious story of the founding of Martinsville, but also give structure to the entire Red-Black-Pink-White story.
I can't wait to hear from you once you've read through to the end of the series. I'm so happy with the ending -- and I hope you will be as well.
