Cadbury Egg Mug Cake
I've been obsessed with Cadbury Creme Eggs ever since I can remember. Every Easter I'd get a half dozen of them in my basket. Instead of immediately unwrapping them, I'd warm the chocolate egg in my hand for a bit so that the center was gooey and soft and then savor every sweet, sticky bite.
As an adult, I've taken it one step further with this Cadbury Egg Mug Cake.
Instead of warming the creme filled egg in my hand, I crack it on top of a warm chocolate mug cake and let it melt into the rich chocolate batter. The best part about this microwave mug cake is that it literally takes minutes to make.
CADBURY CREME EGG MUG CAKE
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon milk
1 Cadbury Creme Egg
Candy coated chocolate eggs, crushed, for topping
Combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in an 8-ounce mug and mix with a fork until combined. Add vegetable oil, greek yogurt and milk, and mix until smooth. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Remove the mug from the microwave and crack the chocolate cream egg on top. Sprinkle with the crushed candy eggs.
