HARTFORD, CONN (January 21, 2019) InsurTech Hartford is now a member of the Global InsurTech Alliance (GITA), providing its growing community with connectivity to nine InsurTech centers in Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. The membership will help the Hartford-based organization to extend its global reach and to extend the growing ecosystem for its member and partners.


“Joining the Alliance brings us closer to attaining our vision,” says Stacey Brown, InsurTech Hartford founder. “Until now Hartford has been known as the insurance capital of the United States. We would like to bring attention to the remarkable tech talent and the burgeoning startup scene and to turn the insurance capital into a global InsurTech center. As a GITA member, we will be able to increase the levels of collaboration and advance innovation in insurance on a truly global scale.”


Even prior to joining GITA InsurTech Hartford attracted a global following, prominent international speakers and startups. GITA membership provides additional opportunities for accessing global resources and talent. Participation in the global ecosystem will help to promote the local community of innovators and entrepreneurs and bring more attention to the economic potential of the region.
