OGAW 2019: Week 1 Kickoff

Welcome to One Game a Week!

Hello everyone, and welcome to the first official week of One Game a Week 2019!

I'm have to say, I'm bursting at the seams with excitement and happiness right now!

I can't count the number of times over the past few years that I've had the yearning to carve out a couple of months to focus on doing this project again. I worked very deliberately to create this space in my schedule after I released Omnicube last summer, and now it's finally, finally here. I'm so, so, so, so happy! I feel a tremendous, creative rush! I feel like the possibilities are endless! I'm going to be creating a brand new game this week!

If you’ve not seen my One Game a Week preview and would like to know a bit more background information about my game ideas and the constraints I plan to work within, go ahead and check that out now.

Onward, to development! First of all, I’d like to announce this week’s theme. Keep in mind the theme is totally optional, and is just a helpful starting point for people who want it. Having said that…here is the first week's theme!

Week 1 Theme: MYSTERY

To quote the great Ray Bradbury -- "Mysteries abound where most we seek for answers". I wonder if anyone is seeking answers in this spooky-ass house?

All right! Let’s get started! We've only got 168 hours left!

If you plan on joining in and making something this week, please feel free to reach out or share your work via #onegameaweek or #OGAW on twitter, or feel free to leave a link in the comments.

I’m thrilled to get started!
