This Week at First Reformed ~ 1/19/2020

Good afternoon everyone! This is the day that the Lord has made.

Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

This week marks the kick-off for a "year of healing". 2019 was a difficult, painful, dark year for so many in our congregation and community. And yet, while acknowledging all that happened, Pastor Christopher and The Consistory believe God is calling us to a year of healing in 2020.

During worship, we praised God and spoke of the Kingdom. Near the end of the service, anyone from the congregation was invited forward to be anointed with oil (from Jerusalem) and prayed over by Pastor Christopher and the Elders.

The message was "Heal Us Lord" based on Jeremiah 17:14 and Luke 9:11.
