To Blue or Not to Blue with Phonetic Eyewear

Hi internet folk, today I want to talk to you about my most recent collaboration, mariaroams for phoneticeyewear! As some of you know I have been a fanatic of blue light reflecting or computer glasses for about a year now which is why I was freaking excited to I partner up with Phonetic Eyewear for a collaboration.

But I am getting ahead of myself, let me back up and tell you why and how I discovered I needed blue light reflecting glasses. Last year when I was working a 9-5 job and I began noticing my sight was blurry by the end of the work day. I was a little concerned as it kept happening day after day after day, so I figured maybe the day had come... The day when I would need reading glasses! Kidding, actually I was pretty stoked I might need glasses, because I have always loved glasses, or actually I have always loved accessorizing and I could never bring myself to buy a pair of vanity glasses, but NOW I had an excuse! Yas. New glasses.

So I got my butt to the optometrist for an exam (first one I had had in yeaaaaars) and I explained my concerns to the doctor. After my appointment, the doctor informed me I actually had close to 20/20 vision and I did not need reading glasses at all. Then she asked me if I worked in an office... BINGO! She explained my eyes were dry and strained from starring at a screen all day AND I hadn't even mentioned I also spent many hours on my laptop at home, editing photographs, and watching Friends reruns, She recommended blue light filtering glasses.

Okay so first of all, Phonetic Eyewear uses lenses that are designed to fight the effects of Digital Eye Strain and alleviate the symptoms associated with Computer Vision Syndrome. Second of all, the frames are not your usual boring looking computer glasses, they are stylish, and fun.

Wearing Allen frame in color butterscotch.

And so there you go. If you can relate and you are wondering: To blue or not to blue? BLUE.
