Hunter and the Wick'd

Hailing from California, in a place called Wonder Valley, Hunter and the Wick’d are a new folk/American group founded by singer-songwriter Miri Hunter. Regular performing members include: Thom Merrick on bass, who also co-wrote several of the songs for the CD; Rick Chaffee on lead guitar; and Erik Mouness on drums and percussion. The band has released their debut 10-track self-titled album filled with songs inspired by the Joshua Tree desert. Southern California based duo, Hunter and the Wick’d, offer spellbinding music that contains elements of Americana, Country and Folk to create a unique, contemporary folk sound. The duo consists of Miri Hunter who hails from Virginia and Thom Merric, a California native. Now residing in the Wonder Valley/ Joshua Tree region, their music incorporates a warm, country-dessert vibe.
